Community colleges can be critical to providing women access to training and careers in science, technology, engineering and math, according to a new report from the American Association of University Women. The report found that women with degrees in STEM fields were more likely than men to have attended community college, the association's executive director, Linda Hallman, writes in this opinion article. "It's time for community colleges to step up their recruitment and support programs to maximize their potential in building the STEM workforce," she writes.
