U.K.-based Dairy Crest says its fiscal year 2014 outlook remains unchanged despite a 4% sales drop across its four core brands in the second quarter. The company also said it will begin making demineralized whey powder at its Davidstow creamery as part of an effort to boost returns on its whey products. Separately, Dairy Crest announced it will scale back marketing of its Frijj milkshake brand to concentrate on a facilities upgrade.
