Engineering programs are increasingly turning to hands-on techniques that develop the skills necessary to address real-world global problems, according to panelists participating in ASME's Decision Points Dialogues series on engineering education. While depth of knowledge remains important, it's also recognized that a broader skill set is required, one that includes the ability to engage with people in particular environments and situations.
