Postponing the implementation of the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate was a positive step, but more should be done to ease the effects of the health care law on the business community, writes Sean Falk, a franchise owner and IFA member. Lawmakers should adjust the thresholds used to determine which workers count as full-time employees and which businesses are subject to the mandate, he writes. "Currently, I employ 43 full-time equivalent employees," he writes. "If my business grows and I create more jobs, I will also drastically increase my costs due to the employer mandate."
