Halliburton Energy Services, which supervised the pouring of cement at BP's Macondo well, will plead guilty to destroying evidence related to the Deepwater Horizon explosion, fire and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Justice Department says. Halliburton will pay a $200,000 fine and contribute $55 million to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The government has agreed not to pursue further prosecution of Halliburton, the company says.
