In response to the December 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., several schools in New Jersey are updating their security measures -- much of it with technology. Some schools are adding security cameras, including in Edison where there are plans to triple the number of cameras in the township's high schools. Principals there also will carry "mobile panic buttons," and several districts are discussing adding personnel to their security detail.
