Wireless carriers, broadcasters and lawmakers will bring forth their own ideas today on how the upcoming spectrum auction should be conducted, with AT&T and T-Mobile US lining up on opposite sides of the debate over whether the government should set aside some frequencies for smaller carriers. The House Communications subcommittee will hold hearings today on the Federal Communications Commission's auction in which carriers will bid to buy spectrum that broadcasters voluntarily surrender.
