The Federal Housing Finance Agency should stop preventing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from paying into a trust fund for low-income housing that Congress created in 2008, say the National Low Income Housing Coalition and the Right to the City Alliance. The two groups, along with four individuals, are suing the FHFA over the issue, arguing that since Fannie and Freddie have returned to profitability, they should make payments to the fund.
