Home care services company Nurse Next Door began franchising across Canada in 2007 and grew to 50 franchises by 2010 but required two years of competition research and brand positioning before it was able to break into the already-competitive U.S. home care market in 2012. The company was able to show U.S. business brokers the value of its approach and today, Nurse Next Door has 25 U.S. franchises, 60 Canadian franchises and two corporate-owned locations.
