China's economy may slow to 4% annual growth beyond 2018 if Beijing doesn't step up its pace of reform, the International Monetary Fund warns. "Growth has moderated, even as investment has risen and reliance on credit has increased, pointing to diminishing returns" to the current investment-heavy model, the IMF said. Separately, the fund warned emerging markets of the dangers of rapidly declining foreign investment unbalanced by compensating growth in domestic consumption.
