To become known for great customer service, it's just not enough to be considered "nice," writes customer-service consultant Shep Hyken. Knowledgeable performance is also key. "Nice might earn the company another chance or two," he writes. "But in the end, no matter how nice the people are, if you don't get what you want or need, you're going to eventually do business somewhere else."
