A $958 million housing complex is being planned in Tokyo as it hopes to win the hosting bid for the 2020 Olympic Games. The proposed 109-acre Olympic Village would "have quite a positive impact for the construction and the real-estate market" and boost property values in the Tokyo Bay area, according to Yoji Otani, an analyst for Deutsche Securities in Tokyo. The city's bid for the Olympics comes as the country rebuilds from the March 2011 earthquake.
