Two general aviation airports in Kentucky are set to receive federal and state grant money for improvements, Gov. Steve Beshear said Monday. Sturgis Municipal Airport will receive $1.59 million to perform maintenance work on its runway, and Muhlenberg County Airport will receive $167,000 to expand its apron and design a new partial taxiway. The money will come from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Department of Aviation.
