United Airlines and Delta Air Lines both offer lie-flat seats on transcontinental flights in business class between New York and Los Angeles. "Everyone wants lie-flat seats. People want to sleep," said Jeff Foland, United's executive vice president of marketing. "I'm well-rested heading to a meeting," Williams said.
