Microsoft has to change its "cultural thinking" to adapt much more quickly to the fast-changing world of smartphones, according to Nokia Vice President Bryan Biniak, who says Windows Phone software from Nokia's partner needs to keep pace better with the spate of new models emerging from Nokia. "We are releasing new devices frequently, and for every new device if there is an app that somebody cares about that's not there, that's a missed opportunity of a sale," Biniak said. Also, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer conceded last week that his company erred in producing too many Surface RT tablets and admitted sales of some Windows devices have proved disappointing.
