The Navy's first attempts to land an unmanned Northrop drone on an aircraft carrier have finished with two of the three attempts successful. The third flight had to be aborted and the X-47B sent to a nearby landing strip. The plane was guided by a robot to the deck of the USS George H.W. Bush, making it the first time a "tailless, unmanned autonomous aircraft" landed on an aircraft carrier, the Navy said.
