Mobile websites and mobile applications have different advantages in enhancing the hotel experience for group clients, experts say. An app provides a richer experience with more functions. "The overall experience is not reliant on a Wi-Fi connection, therefore you can have things like a large delegate list and content you don't have to download because you already have it on the app," says QuickMobile CEO Patrick Payne. On the other hand, developing a mobile website is faster and less complex. "For a website, the coding is done once, and users don't have to wait and download it; it just happens automatically," says Edie Chandler Lowe, senior vice president of hotel SystemsPro.
