Oracle says it will no longer support several virtualization products it picked up in the acquisition of Sun Microsystems. "In an effort to more tightly align Oracle's future desktop virtualization portfolio investments with Oracle Corporation's overall core business strategy, we have ended new feature development for Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Software, Oracle Virtual Desktop Client ... Software, Oracle Sun Ray Software, ... and Oracle Sun Ray Client hardware (including Sun Ray Operating Software)," Oracle said in a document provided to customers. The company said it will continue to develop and support Oracle Secure Global Desktop and Oracle VM VirtualBox.
