Researchers performed PET/CT and MRI scans on patients before and after chemotherapy and measured change in standardized uptake value and change in apparent diffusion coefficient of the bone cancer, finding the parameters were useful for predicting histologic response. The methods have also been useful in identifying suspicious lesions in patients.
