Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., criticized financial regulators Thursday for settling with violators of financial laws, rather than taking them to trial. "There's been some real questions about the settlements you've made," Warren told regulators from the Federal Reserve, the Treasury Department, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Warren suggested they follow the lead of Mary Jo White, head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and press more defendants for admissions of guilt.
