A weaker yen and a move by China to avoid another cash crunch helped lift shares across Asia on Tuesday. The Nikkei jumped 1.53% to 13,869.82, the Hang Seng rose 0.48% to 21,953.96, the Kospi advanced 0.90% to 1,917.05 and the S&P/ASX was virtually unchanged, with a 0.02% gain to 5,047.20.
