Educators in some Ohio schools have been using a curriculum developed by Veggie U that seeks to encourage students with autism to eat more vegetables. The group tested the revised curriculum, which uses hands-on learning, in 14 classrooms last year and will add another 25 this year. Teacher Colleen O'Patry said her students enjoy the gardening aspect of the program because they can see how things grow.
