AAA previously stated it is opposed to E15, relying on a three-car test done by an oil industry group instead of an 86-car test by the Department of Energy that showed no engine damage resulting from the blend, Coleman states. This stance may "come back to haunt them" as "AAA's positioning on ethanol is starting to divide the company regionally in ways that will draw even more attention to their indefensible position on biofuels."
