Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and Mary Landrieu, D-La., introduced a bill that would enable coastal states to receive as much as 37.5% of federal revenues from energy development off their coasts. The bill will be discussed at a July 23 hearing of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., has voiced support for the proposal.
