Statin therapy does not adversely affect a person's cognition, according to a meta-analysis involving more than 40,000 patients. "The systemic review was consistent with prior reviews finding no significant relationship between cognitive decline or adverse cognitive evens and the use of any statin drug in cognitively healthy people as well as those with dementia," the study's lead author said. The findings were presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference.
