Summer is the best time to heat up a job search, career expert Mary Eileen Williams writes in this blog post. Fewer people are looking for jobs during summer months and there may be more seasonal and part-time jobs available, Williams notes. Also, employers step up hiring in early fall and those who apply in the summer could land the job. "Therefore, even though you may not be hired in July or August, by making your presence known now, you're likely to find yourself first in line to be called in for an interview in early September," she writes.
