Recent social media buzz over a Waffle Taco being offered on a trial basis at only five Taco Bell restaurants in Southern California points to the success the brand has had in innovating new concepts in recent years, this feature says. The fast food chain has managed to attract diners outside its traditional 20-something male demographic with its Cantina Bell menu and its wildly successfully Doritos Locos Tacos. This is only the beginning, said Taco Bell president Brian Niccol, who added that "there are still a lot of things that we’ve got line of sight on that are due for a little redefining."
