Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing reported shipping 4.034 million 8-inch wafer equivalents during the second quarter. Of its $5.18 billion in consolidated revenue for the quarter, 57% came from communications chips and semiconductors made with 28-nanometer dimensions represented 29% of second-quarter revenue. The foundry forecast its third-quarter revenue would total $5.5 billion.
