Panelists at a recent NextGen symposium in Washington, D.C., agreed that while funding reform to ensure the future of NextGen is needed, user fees are not the right approach. "Anything a user-fee system can do for us, the fuel tax mechanism does better. Business aviation fully supports paying for its share of the system using the fuel tax; it's easy, simple, fast and efficient," said Ed Bolen, president and CEO of the National Business Aviation Association.
