Jason Hulett, who has spent 14 years in the foodservice industry, developed a concept that would allow restaurant managers to track and rate their employees' performance. However, while participating in a startup accelerator at Northern Kentucky University, Hulett discovered that restaurant owners weren't willing to pay for such a tool. As a result, he saved thousands of dollars he was planning to put into the business. "We saved a lot of money in the process," Hulett said. "We didn't build something no one wanted."
