For some well-connected business owners, the Securities and Exchange Commission's decision to eliminate the ban on "general solicitation" won't change much about their approach to fundraising, writes Jay Turo, CEO of Growthink. But it could be a positive development for entrepreneurs who have previously had a hard time finding investors. Business owners "who don't live in charmed places like Menlo Park and Manhattan, or have friends at Facebook, now have more alternatives, more potential swings of the bat," Turo writes.
