AAA-rated corporate bond yields are higher than AA-graded debt for only the second time in the past 10 years. According to a Bank of America index in mid-August, the 2.86% average yield for $34.2 billion of bonds that were the highest rated was 0.27 percentage point more than for AA. This marked the largest such differential since 2009.
