AOL has promoted from within, raising Erika Nardini from vice president and head of marketing solutions to chief marketing officer at AOL Advertising. Nardini has led AOL's "barbell strategy" that balances programmatic advertising and branding offerings, AOL Advertising Senior Vice President Jim Norton said. Nardini plans to consolidate and simplify AOL's operations, so "everything that can go programmatic, will go programmatic," she said.
