ARM has bought software-maker Sensinode, which helped create the 6LoWPAN compression standard for IPv6 and that has made some Constrained Application Protocols. ARM reportedly plans to meld Sensinode technology into its mbed effort, which is focused on open-source hardware and software. The company said it will continue to provide Sensinode's NanoStack and NanoService products.
