Retailers got started early on back-to-school sales and promotions this year, as NRF data shows parents expect to spend a bit less this year, and many retailers are also getting more creative. Wal-Mart launched its first Back-to-Class Cyber Monday, and Kohl's and Abercrombie & Fitch have launched instant-win games.
