WB Services is offering bolt-on technology that will allow ethanol producers to turn distillers corn oil into biodiesel or renewable diesel on site. "We think this just adds another arrow to the quiver for an ethanol plant as far as diversifying their product mix and insulating them against tough times," said Bernie Hoffman, a part owner and vice president of business development for WB Services. The firm has constructed a 2 million-gallon-per-year (more than 7 million-liters-per-year) biodiesel plant and is building a renewable diesel plant with a capacity of 3 million gallons per year to showcase the technology.
