Some children with visual impairments in Eastern Idaho are attending a summer program hosted by the National Federation for the Blind to brush up on Braille and life and social skills. During the camp, besides reading and writing, students receive instruction about how to walk with a cane and take field trips. "We cover the whole spectrum to help them be more successful in life," said Vickie Bateman, president of the NFB's Snake River Valley chapter in Idaho Falls.
