Cornerstone Chemical and Incitec Pivot have broken ground on a $1 billion project in Louisiana. The project will involve construction of an $850 million Dyno Nobel ammonia plant and $175 million in upgrades and expansions to the Fortier Manufacturing Complex. "This project will be the first new ammonia plant built in the state in over 25 years and is a shining example of the changes in Louisiana made possible by the advent of shale gas and a growth-oriented state government," said Cornerstone CEO Greg Zoglio.
