Chevrolet has replaced a bulky exterior and plastic interior with a sleeker body and leather interior in its 2014 Corvette, an attempt to shift eyes and wallets away from European sports car competitors. Chevy hopes the redesigned Corvette will attract buyers in their 40s who are outside of the blue-collar workforce. "We want more wealthy people buying the car," says Tadge Juechter, its chief engineer.
