Chicago mixologists are tapping into local business Rare Botanical Bitters for out-of-the-box flavors such as winter black Perigold truffle and Asian citrus with a mezcal base to add to their cocktails.
"The crazy ingredients are out there," said Justin Anderson, beverage manager at La Sirena Clandestina. "People are finding ways to be creative and people are going to try to outdo each other."
