Almost 2.6 million U.S. families can now sign up for Comcast's low-cost Internet Essentials program, after the cabler revamped its rules for eligibility to include parochial, private and home-schooled students. The program, which offers discounted Internet service for $9.95 a month, among other features, now serves 900,000 people.
