The Community Associations Institute has announced a "2013 August Recess Advocacy Campaign," an organized effort to encourage community association advocates across the country to meet their members of Congress while members are in their home districts for the August congressional recess.

The effort encourages advocates to educate their members about community association living, to address housing finance reform and to raise the issue of Federal Emergency Management Agency aid to community associations affected by natural disasters.

CAI's online advocacy center provides community association advocates with talking points, background information, and other materials intended to assist them in engaging their congressional representatives.
