Researchers who looked at data from more than 80,000 people in Sweden found that those who consumed two servings of fruit per day were 31% and 39% less likely to develop abdominal aortic aneurysm and ruptured aneurysm, respectively, than did those who didn't consume any fruit. The high levels of antioxidants in fruit may explain the study's findings, the study authors said. The study appears in the journal Circulation.
