A $44 million project to improve the runway and provide more parking at Dona Ana County Airport in Santa Teresa, Texas, is set to begin, but a local fixed-base operator is concerned the renovations could shut down the airport for an extended period. "It's just going to put everything to a complete standstill here," said Tyler Francis of Francis Aviation. The airport says it plans to use the taxi lane for landings while the runway is being repaved.
