Logistics and transportation workers in Florida will undergo training under a state agency's Quick Response Training program. The training is organized by Workforce Florida, which has allotted $2 million to improve the skills of logistics workers in the state. "You may have employees who have worked in the logistics industry all their lives, but the jobs have gotten more complicated as supply chains have grown more complex," said Bob Wood, head of the Division of Continuing Education at the University of North Florida, which will provide logistics training under the program.
