Users of iOS-based devices are still more actively engaged with their applications than Android owners despite having been outsold, Ingrid Lunden writes. In the top 10 list of most opened categories -- from weather apps to sports -- iOS device owners consistently showed longer app use, according to a report by Forrester. "[W]hile Android continues to grow in popularity, it has yet to grab that premium class of consumers who use their phones the most and are the most attractive consumers for app makers," Lunden writes.
