The world's governments are making an increasing number of requests for Twitter users' personal data, according to the social network's latest transparency report. Over the first six months of this year, Twitter received 1,157 requests for data pertaining to 1,697 users, and handed over data in more than half of those cases. That's about a 15% increase in government data requests from the preceding six-month period, Twitter reported.
