In a speech Tuesday, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, said regulations mandated in Dodd-Frank are keeping the middle class out of the housing market by potentially raising rates and enacting stricter lending standards. "Right now, because of the Dodd-Frank Act, Washington has more control over who can buy a home than your local bank," Hensarling said.
