Students can create games based on material covered in history classes to make learning fun, while also allowing them to work on their research and technical-writing skills, middle-school social studies teacher Aaron Brock writes in this blog post. He writes that giving students sufficient class time to work on their games is important to facilitate collaboration and research, and that students should be discouraged from creating trivia games or history versions of existing games, such as Monopoly.
