Students with disabilities attending Northfield High School in Minnesota can enroll in a work-based learning program where they receive job-skills training and onsite job assignments at local businesses. Program coordinator Joe Jorgensen says he plans to introduce video journals to help capture students' onsite experiences and incorporate videoconferencing to connect students to business leaders outside the area. Other plans for expansion include adding a civics-education element to the curriculum and incorporating job coaches.
